Toyota iQ Concept EV (GENEVA)

Toyota presented at the Geneva Motor Show 2011 at its first 100% electric production, the iQ Concept EV. A model that has very little prototype that the company will launch later this year or early 2012 in Europe. There are several units that are being tested in Japan, USA and Europe.


The autonomy of the synchronous electric motor of 47 kW is 105 km. The battery is Lithium-Ion 270 V and 11 kWh, and is located under the seats. The maximum speed is 125 km / h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 14 seconds.


The lithium-ion battery is developed by Tesla, and is part of the agreement that the Japanese firm has with the U.S. (the other model was jointly developed the Rav4 EV).

The battery recharges fully in 4 hours, from a 200 V outlet, or it can be recharged to 80% in 15 minutes, from a conventional plug.
