Audi Electric Cars

Audi is completing the steps toward electric mobility slowly but firmly. Most of their models have the Start & Stop system for motor starting and stopping of machines and energy recovery systems, these technologies could be considered as micro-hybrid technologies.

Already underway variant hybrid car of the Audi Q5 with quattro drive system. The 2.0 TFSI combustion engine works by combining an electric motor powered by lithium-ion batteries. The total power that will deliver quattro Audi Q5 hybrid is 245 hp with a torque of 480 Nm. An acceleration from 0 to 100 in 7.1 seconds and a top speed of 222 km / h. In this way 100% electric hybrid SUV will have a range of 3 km traveling at a speed of 60 km / h. Emissions and consumption are estimated at less than 7 liters per 100 km and 160 g / km of CO2.

E-tron models, electrical technology

Parallel to the family of hybrid cars, Audi is working on its electric cars , this family would be named e-Tron (as of "Tron" I like it, with clear references to the movie). In this family also include those hybrid car models that will be connected to the mains.

The first Audi e-Tron debuted in September 2009 in Frankfurt, where he was the prototype electric sports car with four electric motors (one at each wheel). The combined power of the Audi e-Tron was 313 hp.

In Detroit, 2010, was another prototype model and technology-Tron. A compact lightweight two-seater with two electric motors on the rear axle which generated a total power of 204 hp. Finally, at the Paris Motor Show we saw another prototype, the Audi e-Tron Sypder with a battery that can be loaded from the home network and two electric motors in the front wheels with a combined capacity of 87 hp, coupled to a motor 3.0 TDI biturbo 300 hp and 650 Nm of torque provides power to the rear wheels change S-Tronic 7-speed.

Audi A1 e-Tron:

The Audi A1 e-Tron brings the perfect concept of what is sought in green cars . Is an electric car designed for urban traffic for major traffic congestion in the most contamination occurs. It carries a 61-hp electric motor that operates continuously, its 100% autonomy in electric mode is 50 km. Also has an engine rotating in the back that lets you go recharge the battery and extends its range to 200 km.

In 2011, Audi will join three large companies in the energy sector in Germany, to develop the test fleet of Audi A1 e-Tron before launch. In mid 2011, the first units will begin to move through the streets of Munich, while 200 new refueling stations will be put into operation.
