The Chrysler 300 Hybrid will arrive in 2013

Chrysler will launch a gasoline-electric hybrid version for the new generation of the saloon 300. This information has been revealed by Sergio Marchionne, director of the company during the past Detroit. Be linked to an automatic gearbox 8 relations and will go on sale in 2013.

Before bankruptcy, Chrysler had announced his intention to create a wide range of hybrid vehicles, plug-in hybrids and pure electric. They created the division "Submit", but lack of funds meant that all his plans were relegated to the background.

The hybrid technology that uses the 300 will be very different from that used in the Hemi-V8 engine "Two Mode" installed in the Dodge Durango and Chrysler Aspen in 2008. Expected to be a small electric motor attached to the Pentastar V6 engine, helping the former to the latter stages of acceleration in energy recovering braking phases. Not specified whether the electric motor will be able to move the car by itself.
