Italian firm launches world's fastest hybrid

Less speed compared to traditional cars.

This, however, could no longer be a problem. During the last edition of the prestigious auto show in Geneva, Switzerland, Italdesign Giugiaro, the Italian brand and the brand of hybrid Frazer-Nash presented a prototype that will ensure the fastest hybrid car market.

The car was christened with the name Namir, which means “tiger” in Arabic. Its manufacturers claim it can reach 370 horsepower, with a maximum speed of 300 kph and acceleration from 0 to 100 km in 3.5 seconds. So far, the fastest hybrid was the Fisker Karma, which reached 200 kilometers per hour.

It has a hybrid system that combines a rotary engine of 814 cubic centimeters endothermic with four electric motors, ensuring a range of 39 miles on a gallon of gas and 2,000 km with 50 liters tank full.

According to manufacturers, the carbon emissions that generate this car is estimated at less than 60 grams per kilometer. For reference and according to the Sightline Institute, a traditional car produces emissions of more than 400 grams of carbon per kilometer.

The exterior of the car is made of carbon fiber and its structure is specifically designed to be lightweight without compromising strength and stiffness. As this is a self-concept, has not yet announced whether it will be produced and if so, what will be its price.
