The Chinese automaker BYD has appeared as a great novelty S6DM an SUV type hybrid 'plug-in' or plug-in four-wheel drive. The BYD S6DM has three modes of propulsion. The first is all-electric or zero emission. In this case, a 75 kW electric motor (about 102 hp) placed in the hindquarters is in charge of moving the vehicle, allowing an electric range of 60 kilometers.
The S6DM BYD also can be driven by a gasoline engine of 2.0-liter engine, positioned on the front and rear electric drive to support the combustion. The latter mode of propulsion S6DM BYD occurs when the energy stored in the battery is completely dead. In this case, the gasoline engine comes to 'our rescue' to move our vehicle. With this, the total autonomy of the Chinese SUV is about 310 miles (500 kilometers).
