Th! Nk City 4 seats 2011, and his arrival in USA

The car manufacturer Electric Th! nk Global (Norway) presented the variation of 4 seats of its model City and confirmed that this model manufactured in the United States. The lithium-ion batteries for this model come from the company Ener1, based in Indianapolis.

To access the second row of seats the front seats have a temporary abatement.

The firm began producing the model in Elkhart (Indiana, USA), but nearly all its development will continue in Finland (at the factory in Velvet Automotive). 25 workers are working in that factory. It is expected that by 2011 the plant have 100 employees in total. Also hope to produce the same amount of units in Finland (which is 2,500 units per year).

For now, the City will not go to the public, but to specific fleets have already been taken to the manufacturer. Only 300 units will be produced at the moment. Until mid-2011 will be released officially. In California, the City is listed as a zero emissions vehicle.

The motor power is 46 hp asynchronous, a maximum speed of 110 km / h and 160 km of autonomy in the combined cycle or 220 km in the urban cycle. The batteries are fully charged in 8 hours. It also markets with nickel-sodium (Zebra), which are loaded in 11 hours. Th! Nk offers a warranty of five years or 100,000 km.

The cost in Spain is EUR 34,810 without VAT and without the grant Moville Plan of 6962 euros. It is not yet confirmed their U.S. price.
